An Early Suprise

Most of you know this, but I thought I should add it here....

Last week I went to a Dr. appointment and he thought my amniotic fluid looked a little low so he wanted me to go in for an in depth ultrasound at the hospital. At first I wasn't concerned because my dr. is a bit of an alarmist, but the more I thought about it, the more worried I got (just so you know...a Dr. who is an alarmist and a patient who is a worrier are NOT a great combination!!)

I made the mistake of going online and seeing what it might mean that I had low amniotic fluid...well I learned it could mean a vast array of things from my being dehydrated to my baby having no kidneys and no chance of survival. I spent a lot of time in tears, and a lot of time on my knees, and a lot of time drinking water!!

Two days later I went in for my ultrasound. Dave was able to take work off to be with me and I was so glad...I truly was so scared.

The ultrasound started and everything was perfect. My fluid levels were perfect, everything about the baby was perfect, and we found out we're having another BOY!!! I was so excited!!! I was laying on the table looking at my baby on the screen with tears streaming down my face. I have never meant it more when I say I don't care if we're having a boy or a girl as long as it's healthy.

So...there you have it...I'm going to be a mom of three boys. I am beyond happy...Dave is thrilled (he has a golf foursome now...and won't go broke with me buying girl clothes) the boys are very excited (Michael jumped up and down when we told him)

I am truly blessed. I've heard there's a special place in heaven for moms of boys...I sure hope so :)

Thomas' First Day of School

Thomas started Preschool this week. Actually on the 2nd (sorry so slow w/ the pics) He has been counting down and was sooooo excited.

He was especially excited about his NEW ORANGE backpack. He loves orange...I've never known a kid so obsessed with a color!!

Here he is saying goodby to his best friends Stripey and Tiger. He told me that I could play with the cats while he was gone so I wouldn't be lonely. (I know, I know my porch needs to be powerwashed!!)

Isn't he cute!!

Just before we left he said "Mom...I'm NOT going to miss you while I'm at school." I thought...good cuz I won't miss you either :) Which is only partly true...I sure do look forward to picking him up at 11:30. Part of that is becasue I do miss him, and the other part is that he is SO excited to tell me about his day. Already he LOVES his class. In fact, last night as we were going to bed, he came to me with a sad face and said "Mom, I miss my pleschool fliends" (he can't do "R" blends very well so I thougt I'd type it how he says it).

It makes me so happy to see my boy so happy...there truly is more to school than learning letters and numbers!!
